Portable variable message warning sign with integrated vehicle detection radar & chevron frame

Bartco’s Overhead Service Unit is positioned in advance of overhead structures and services within the works zone. This innovative alternative to an overheight vehicle detection system offers warning to all vehicles that activate its sensor, making it a safer and more robust solution. Ideal for warning about a range of overhead hazards, this unit can even serve as a low bridge warning sign. It also offers a responsive and attention grabbing alternative to static or printed overhead power line warning signs, for example.

Running for up to 4 weeks without maintenance, these units require no external power source to operate. Its compact size also makes it highly portable, ideal for fast paced or changing work zones.

Featuring a highly visible chevron frame with red and white LEDs on a 28 x 28 pixel display, this product prevents the need for overheight vehicle detection and warning systems, covering both detection and warning more effectively than other solutions.

As a unique and creative solution, this unit was developed to further enhance site safety for the workforce by using editable text or pictograms to give warnings in advance of potential overhead obstructions. Editable text makes it highly versatile, allowing users to change the text at will to adapt to the hazard it is needed for.

Key Features include:

  • Up to four week run time using just three 100 AH batteries
  • Red and white LEDs for text and pictograms
  • Chevron frame for increased impact and visibility
  • Mounted on a portable base box
  • Compact 680 x 780mm sign case
  • Built in radar for vehicle detection
  • 28 x 28 pixel
